- Some settings and configuration (from a configuration profile)
- Some shortcuts, links and locations (from solution profiles)
- custom searches and lists (from solution profiles)
2. Admin site URL recommendation
For best practice and minimal configuration changes, it is recommended to use the URL "OnePlacesolutions" when setting up the OnePlace Solutions Admin site.
For example - https://yourtennant.sharepoint.com/sites/oneplacesolutions
It is not recommended, however, If you choose another name for the site, you must let your Customer Success Manager know so we can update this in our account settings so your profiles will work.
3. Do I need an administration site?
No, you do not need an administration site to use the software.
This only helps if you want to setup links, settings, shortcuts and have these settings all deploy out to all users.
If everyone is happy setting up the software themselves, you do not need and administration site.
4. How do I connect my users to the administration site?
To get all the benefits of the administration site you must connect your Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise clients to this site.
You can do this in several ways detailed below:
- Manually in the Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise desktop software go to:
Ideagen Mail Manager > Settings > Connected services and add your admin site URL. - You can deploy the client application with MSI switches that apply your Admin site URL automatically as detailed below:

- Connect to your administration site and deploy configuration profiles (settings)
