If you receive an "Upload interrupted: exception calling GetRequestStream" error when installing email tracking, you can deploy email tracking using an alternative PowerShell method.

Getting the required variables

Before running the deployment command, you need to gather specific information from your Azure Console.

To retrieve the required variables:

1. Open your Azure Console > Search resource group and function app
2. Note your Resource Group Name.
3. Note your Function App Name.

Downloading the required files

You need two files to complete the deployment: the email tracking package and the deployment script.

To download the necessary files:

1. Download the email tracking package from https://cdn.oneplacesolutions.com/emailtracking-releases/latest/service.
2. Note the download path for the email tracking package.
3. Download the deployment script from https://upd.Ideagen Mail Manager.com/public-uploads/20261020_024130Z-deployCode_alternative-OCT26.zip.
4. Extract the deployment script.

Running the deployment command

Use PowerShell to run the deployment command with your specific values.

To deploy the function app:

1. Open PowerShell.
2. Navigate to the directory containing the extracted deployment script.
3. Run the following command, replacing the placeholder values with your actual Resource Group Name, Function App Name, and the path to your downloaded email tracking package:

./Deploy-FunctionApp.ps1 `
    -ResourceGroup 'OnePlaceMailEmailTracking' `
    -FunctionAppName 'emailtracking-rtayog3uqpowq' `
    -ZipPath 'C:\Users\yourname\Downloads\IdeagenMailManagerEmailTracking-20260729.zip'

4. Wait for the script to complete.
5. Verify that the output displays "deployment complete".

Completing the setup

After the deployment completes successfully, you need to swap the deployment slots and finish the configuration.
