Enabling desktop app logging

Administrators who want to enable desktop application logging.
No special access or permissions are required.
This article explains where you can enable logging in Ideagen Mail Manager to capture diagnostic information when troubleshooting issues.
1. Enabling logging
To enable logging:
- Go to the OnePlaceMail tab.
- Select Settings.
- Select General.
- Tick Enable application logging.
- Click the Open log file location link.
keep that folder open in the background.
- Restart Outlook.
2. Capturing diagnostic log
To capture the diagnostic information:
- Reproduce the error you are experiencing.
- Navigate to the log file folder you opened earlier.
- Retrieve the log file generated.
3. Disabling logging
To disable logging after capturing the diagnostic informations:
- Go to the OnePlaceMail tab.
- Select Settings.
- Select General.
- Untick Enable application logging.
- Restart Outlook.
Note
Leaving logging enabled can slow down the product.
