No elevated permissions are required.
All Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise product versions must match for the software to work correctly, including OnePlaceMail, OnePlaceDocs, and the Administration client.
1. Understanding version mismatch issues
When different versions of Mail Manager Enterprise applications are installed, you may encounter the error: 'Error performing license check…The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference (HRRESULT: 0X80131040)'.
Note: All installed products must be the same version and build number to avoid this error.
2. Checking the version in OnePlaceMail Desktop
To check the version in OnePlaceMail Desktop, follow these steps:
- Go to the Mail Manager tab in the Outlook ribbon.
- Select About.
- Choose About Ideagen Mail Manager.
3. Checking the version in Mail Manager Docs Explorer
To check the version in Mail Manager Docs Explorer, follow these steps:
- Open Mail Manager Docs.
- Go to File.
- Select About.
4. Checking the version in Ideagen Mail Manager Administration Client
To check the version in the Administration Client, follow these steps:
- Open Ideagen Mail Manager Administration Client.
- Select About.
Note: The Ideagen Mail Manager Administration Client is not required for standard users.
5. Verifying versions in Windows settings
You can verify that all build numbers match by checking your installed applications in Windows.
In Windows 11:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Choose Installed Apps.
- Verify that all Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise Solutions products show the same version number.
In Control Panel:
- Open Control Panel.
- Go to Programs and Features.
- Check the version and build numbers for all Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise products.
Important: If there is a version mismatch, you will need to uninstall the products and reinstall the same version for all components.
