This article outlines the product changes that have been made in release 7.7.

1. Release 7.7 overview

We are excited to announce check in / check out functionality is now available in EnterpriseDocs!

This feature allows users to be more productive by checking in files or seeing who has a document checked out—right from the desktop. You can now add comments when checking files back in. With R7.7, check-in can be managed without opening SharePoint, helping you stay focused on your work.

Note: Release 7.7 requires .NET Framework 4.6.2.

2. Enhancements

• EnterpriseDocs: check in / check out functionality
• View checked out items in the grid view
• See who has an item checked out
• View current version number of items
• Check out single or multiple items
• Discard check out of single or multiple items
• Option to keep file checked out
• Option to specify check-in comments
• Option to check in as major, minor, or overwrite a minor version (if applicable)
• TLS 1.2 support (requires .NET Framework 4.6.2)
• Support for Azure Active Directory proxy authentication to SharePoint
• Improved caching and performance of file extensions when loading grid view and performing previews
• Delete action disabled on SharePoint items if user lacks delete permissions
• Added New category button to location in manage favorites dialog box

3. Bug fixes

• Resolved issue in EnterpriseMail handling folder locations with more than 250 characters when adding to recent and favorites in the navigation tree
• Resolved issue sorting favorites when sub-folders are added
• Resolved issue in Solution Profile client closing when a new item is created and another item is selected without saving
• Resolved issue in Solution Profile configuration where visual settings were not applied properly, including:
  • Send & file button
  • Relabeling Favorite on right-click
  • Relabeling Upload status and Switch to SharePoint view buttons

4. Other updates

• Changed case of tab names in Office 2016 for consistency
• Resolved issue when saving and viewing a library with a column using a reserved property (e.g., "Folder")
• Updated product links to Mail Manager Enterprise websites from HTTP to HTTPS
• WIX installer upgraded to version 3.11.1
