This article outlines the product changes that have been made in release 7.6.

1. Release 7.6 overview

Thanks for using Mail Manager Enterprise! This release focuses on improved performance and enhancements to the background upload experience.

2. Enhancements

• Solution Profile site deployment now supports coded/scripted approach using Patterns and Practices PowerShell instead of sandbox solutions
• Optimized performance of connections and calls to SharePoint and Office 365 across the suite
• Improved performance for:
  • Launching the 'Save to SharePoint' window
  • Loading SharePoint views in Outlook and EnterpriseDocs Explorer, especially with Lookup, Person/Group, or Managed Metadata columns
• EnterpriseDocs installer now supports Adobe Reader 2015 and 2017
• UploadTransaction folder now maintained in roaming profile instead of local profile
• Successfully uploaded files are deleted from UploadTransaction folders to reduce temporary file footprint
• Thresholds implemented for maximum items per transaction:
  • EnterpriseMail: 50 items
  • EnterpriseDocs Explorer: 100 items

3. Bug fixes

• Resolved intermittent error 429 when saving or browsing to Office 365
• Fixed JSON serialization issue when saving large numbers of emails
• Resolved error when adding a location to favorites after navigation tree search
• Fixed bug when saving multiple files with the same filename in one operation
• Resolved issue where EnterpriseMail deletion category was not applied to items in Outlook Deleted Items folder
• Improved rendering of SharePoint views grouped by:
  • Date/Time (date only and date & time)
  • Calculated Date/Time
  • Number (as percentage)
  • Calculated Number (as percentage)
• Resolved intermittent issue obtaining file size during multi-file save
• Fixed issue where editing External Data (BCS) column did not save changes to SharePoint
• Fixed issue where editing Enterprise Keywords column did not save changes to SharePoint
• Resolved issue where search results from custom list definitions did not display titles
• Fixed issue downloading SharePoint files from search results
• Resolved issue when searching navigation tree with Suggested Locations category selected and no results appeared

4. Other updates

• Audited performance of content grid view
• Removed SmartFilingSearchTermExtractRuleGenerator.exe utility from installation, now available within Solution Profile configuration profiles

5. Minor release 7.6.1

Bug fixes

• Resolved issue when view is grouped by a managed metadata column
• Resolved issue where 'Open location in SharePoint' button could not be selected after saving an email
