This article outlines the product changes that have been made in release 7.3.
1. What's new in version 7.3
Release 7.3 delivers exciting enhancements across the suite of products, including a new Solution Profile email tracking service and usability improvements such as recent locations on send and file to SharePoint. The updates below list additional enhancements and bug fixes.
2. Hotfix release 7.3.3
EnterpriseMail release R7.3.3 addresses an issue where saving an email to SharePoint 2010 resulted in an incorrect date/time value.
3. Hotfix release 7.3.2
EnterpriseMail release 7.3.2 resolves an issue in Microsoft Office 2010 where cancelling the save process prevented the 'Recovered Items' dialog box from appearing.
4. Hotfix release 7.3.1
EnterpriseMail release 7.3.1 addresses an issue with drag/drop of emails and attachments to recent or favorite locations in Outlook.
5. Enhancements
5.1. EnterpriseMail and EnterpriseDocs
- Improved compatibility with SharePoint lists and libraries using event receivers.
- Increased title column size in content grid views.
- Improved file upload mechanism for slow connections.
- Unified item property setting using client-side object model.
- Fallback to content view or explorer view when SharePoint threshold limits are exceeded.
- Numeric values now formatted and validated against regional settings.
- Implementation of stronger SHA-256 code signing certificate.
5.2. EnterpriseMail
- New ribbon button to open the SharePoint location where the email was saved.
- Send & file button now includes a dropdown of recent SharePoint locations.
- Improved memory management for copy/move/send to SharePoint actions.
5.3. EnterpriseDocs
- Support for uploading read-only files from network drives.
5.4. Solution Profile
- Email tracking feature: labels emails with 'Transferred to SharePoint' category across all recipients and sender.
- Support for custom plug-ins via email tracking API (e.g. analytics, extended properties).
- Configuration service now available for free to all Mail Manager Enterprise customers.
6. Notes
- .NET Framework prerequisite updated from 4.0 to 4.5.2.
- Server components must be upgraded if currently in use.
- Custom web service for configuration updates is deprecated, transition to Solution Profile configuration and solution profile services.
7. Bug fixes
7.1. EnterpriseMail and EnterpriseDocs
- Managed metadata column type-ahead now returns terms when user language is missing in taxonomy store.
- Resolved issue with spaces in managed metadata column names when creating document sets or folders.
- Warning message now appears when SharePoint view threshold is exceeded.
- Bootstrapper installers now support Office 2016 x64.
- Resolved issue with language mismatch between user profile and site collection default language.
- Resolved 'ServerRelativeUrl error' when saving to custom SharePoint URLs.
- Resolved duplicate name issue in manage favorites (case sensitivity).
7.2. EnterpriseMail
- Copy attachment to SharePoint now works for all Office 2016 installations after updates.
- Custom column mapping URL and test link now usable in settings window.
7.3. EnterpriseDocs
- Resolved issue where changes made to open files were only saved to SharePoint copy, not original file.
