This article outlines the product changes that have been made in release 7.1.
1. What's new in version 7.1
Release 7.1 of the Mail Manager Enterprise suite further extends the enriched document and email management capabilities of EnterpriseMail and EnterpriseDocs.
This release also expands the Solution Profile service (for both SharePoint on-premises and Office 365), introducing the ability to surface content within solution profiles via search and Office Graph technology. Solution profiles can now encompass both content and locations, delivering SharePoint solutions to business users in a consistent, personalized, and easy-to-use manner—regardless of the physical information architecture of your SharePoint or Office 365 environment.
2. New products
- Release 7.1 introduces EnterpriseMail Lite. Although not technically part of the Mail Manager Enterprise suite, EnterpriseMail Lite is a 100% free solution for providing basic Outlook to SharePoint integration.
3. Enhancements and notes
- EnterpriseDocs Explorer upload to SharePoint/Office 365 button (EnterpriseDocs only).
- EnterpriseDocs support for Adobe Acrobat DC and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (EnterpriseDocs only).
- Solution profiles extended with new item type for delivering content based on SharePoint/Office 365 search.
- Solution profiles extended with new item type for delivering content based on Office Graph insights.
- Watch a 4-minute video showing Office Graph integration with solution profiles.
- Location search and central register items extended to allow prompt for properties setting on recent. locations.
- Added local preview of .eml files stored in SharePoint/Office 365.
- Added support for opening SharePoint/Office 365 files directly in Office Web Apps where available.
- Added support for calculated columns when displaying SharePoint views.
4. Bug fixes
- Resolved issue where item values were not set in SharePoint 2013/Office 365 when saving Office file types with managed metadata columns.
- Resolved issue where EnterpriseMail and EnterpriseDocs raised multiple error messages if the Solution Profile service could not be contacted during background sync.
- Migration to R7.x from earlier releases does not migrate the license list URL; a new license list must be created.
- Resolved issue where EnterpriseDocs Office add-ins failed to load ribbon when a specific button group was customized via config update.
- Resolved issue where the copy profile action in Solution Profile did not assign unique IDs to all items.
5. Other updates
- Support for site mailboxes in Outlook 2013 is deprecated (can be toggled via config update but not available in settings dialog).
- Addressed site URL/licensing URL confusion by moving the licensing section to the top of the settings dialog and renaming the administration section to "Solution Profile service".
- Release 7.1 is the last official release supporting Windows XP, Office 2007, and SharePoint 2007.
