This article outlines the product changes that have been made in release 7.0.
1. What's new in version 7.0
Release 7.0 is a major milestone launched in conjunction with our rebranding to Mail Manager Enterprise. EnterpriseMail is now joined by two additional products: EnterpriseDocs and Solution Profile, collectively known as the Mail Manager Enterprise suite.

3. Enhancements and notes
- Automatically consume configuration updates deployed using the Solution Profile service.
- Automatically consume solution profiles provided by the Solution Profile service.
- Interact with solution profiles in Outlook via the Solution Profile service.
- Configure the Transferred to SharePoint email category to use a custom name.
- Enhanced .msg preview embedded in Outlook now supports graphics and links in HTML emails.
- Support for more file types in embedded Outlook preview (images, text files).
- Configure areas of EnterpriseMail to display in a local language.
- Associate applications with file extensions to always open in embedded Outlook view.
- Navigation tree filter type changed to 'contains' instead of 'starts with' in embedded grid view.
- The SDK has been temporarily disabled in 7.0 and will return in a future release.
- The free companion product EnterpriseMail productivity tools for Office have been moved to EnterpriseDocs.
- The Open button on the EnterpriseMail ribbon is now Explore and requires an EnterpriseDocs license.
4. Bug fixes
- Fixed issue with navigation tree and content search when the search service is on a different URL.
- Fixed issue where SharePoint view selection dropdown did not appear if the default view contained no items or failed to load.
- Fixed ampersand issue in folder names when filing to Office 365.
- Fixed issue with mandatory people groups column being suppressed, preventing save to SharePoint
- Fixed issue creating document sets/folders with trailing spaces in names.
- Fixed issue with site columns added to site content types being suppressed, preventing default values in SharePoint.
- Fixed multiple authentication prompts for Office 365.
- Fixed issue with email conversation ID exceeding data limits; changed to multi-line text column.
- Fixed issue with SharePoint view category sorting not being applied.
- Fixed issue with embedded location content not displaying for SP2013 lists.
- Fixed issue with managed metadata columns not showing selection values.
- Fixed issue with Unicode characters not being preserved when saving emails to SharePoint.
5. Known issues
A register of important known issues for this release is being maintained, with status updates applied where appropriate.
