This article outlines the product changes that have been made in release 8.4.
1. What's New in Version 8.4
Bring all your Microsoft 365 locations together with OneDrive for Business now delivered within Microsoft Outlook in our latest desktop release. This release provides next-level document management with enhancements such as document sets now visible in the content grid view and the ability to copy documents—driving user adoption and productivity.
2. R8.4.1 – Enhancement
- It is now possible to drag/drop more than 50 emails to a location in the Outlook Navigation pane. The limit is now based on the default setting of 200 emails in a single transaction.
3. R8.4.1 – Fixes
- Resolved an issue where the Upload Status could not be checked on previously saved items in Outlook or EnterpriseDocs.
- Resolved an issue where the hashcode was not unique when saving multiple emails in a thread.
- Resolved inconsistent behavior when attempting to drag/drop more than 50 emails to a location. The 50-item limit is no longer required; the new limit is 200 emails per transaction.
- Resolved an issue where Office applications froze when entering a term in a lookup column while saving to SharePoint.
- Resolved an issue where selecting the root favorites node dropped the user into a previously accessed location instead of the defined webpage.
4. R8.4 – Enhancements
- Support for OneDrive for Business.
- Support for Document Sets and folders in the content grid view.
- Ability to rename an existing item in EnterpriseDocs and EnterpriseMail.
- Ability to copy a document to a new location in Microsoft 365.
- Ability to edit properties for multiple documents in EnterpriseMail (previously available in EnterpriseDocs).
- Lookup column now supports 'contains' when searching for items.
- EnterpriseDocs Ribbon now includes Settings button.
5. R8.4 – Fixes
- Resolved issue when selecting Launch or Search button from the EnterpriseMail ribbon.
- Resolved issue when displaying the 'Created by' column in EnterpriseMail or EnterpriseDocs.
- Resolved issue when using 'Email as Attachment' while browsing a document library in EnterpriseMail/Outlook.
- Resolved issue when using a lookup column with a list exceeding the 5000-item threshold.
- Resolved issue when creating a Solution Profile with a modified result order.
- Resolved issue when creating a content search item in Solution Profiles.
- Resolved issue when filtering returned results in a central register/Solution Profile.
- Resolved issue when saving a plain text email with an attachment.
- Resolved issue when performing a bulk edit on existing items via EnterpriseDocs.
- Resolved issue when opening a file via 'Open With' where some applications were unavailable.
