This guide outlines how to configure a dedicated Active Directory account for use with the Enterprise Solutions email tracking service.
1. Windows Server and Active Directory account setup
Create a dedicated Active Directory account named EnterpriseSolutionsEmailTracking.
This account is used to send transaction emails for processing. It is also granted impersonation rights to update emails with the Transferred to SharePoint category in Outlook, the SharePoint URL, and any custom MAPI columns in the user's mailbox via the email tracking service plugin.
1.1. Account attributes
- First name: OPS
- Last name: Email Tracking
- Username: EnterpriseSolutionsEmailTracking
- Password: Set to never expire (or follow company policy)
