This article explains how to license and deploy OnePlace Solutions Desktop and the OnePlaceMail App across your organization. These tools are part of Ideagen Mail Manager: Enterprise and integrate with Microsoft 365 for seamless user access and administration.
1. Deploy OnePlace Solutions desktop
- Download the relevant .MSI files for your environment.
- Confirm all pre-requisites have been deployed.
- Package the .MSI files with appropriate deployment switches.
Licensing: Licensing is tied to each user's Microsoft 365 account. Users are automatically licensed upon signing in to the software.
Note: The OnePlaceLive Administration Client only needs to be installed on administrator desktops, not on all end-user machines.
1.1. Provide consent on behalf of users
OnePlace Solutions Desktop requires permission to perform specific tasks in Microsoft 365. To avoid prompting each user individually, administrators can provide consent on behalf of users using the recommended link.
2. Deploy OnePlaceMail app
Use the Office Administration Center to deploy the OnePlaceMail App:
- Select to deploy the app to Everyone or choose specific users or groups.
- Follow the deployment steps provided in the setup guide.
Licensing: Licensing is tied to each user's Microsoft 365 account and is activated automatically upon sign-in.
2.1. Provide consent on behalf of users
The OnePlaceMail App also requires Microsoft 365 permissions. To streamline onboarding, administrators can provide consent on behalf of users using the recommended link.
