This article explains how to search SharePoint content and locations directly from Docs explorer. OnePlace Solutions uses the SharePoint Search service to deliver a consistent and familiar experience when searching for documents, metadata, or locations.
1. Search content in a location
You can search within a specific SharePoint location using the built-in search box in Docs Explorer.
- Navigate to the desired SharePoint location.
- Enter your search term in the search box.
- Press Enter to view results.
This search includes both document content and metadata, providing a rich and comprehensive experience.
2. Search content across a SharePoint site
In addition to searching within a location, you can search across an entire SharePoint site using the same search functionality.
3. Search for locations
To find a SharePoint location, use the search box in the navigation tree. Mail will use the SharePoint Search service of the first site connected in the navigation tree to return results.
If needed, you can define a specific search service by going to General Settings then Navigation.
