This article explains how to move documents or emails between SharePoint libraries, folders, or document sets using the Docs explorer. This functionality is supported for SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2019, and Office 365, and allows users to manage content without leaving their desktop.
1. Move an item
- Select the document or email to be moved.
- Click the Move button in the ribbon.
- In the dialog box, select the new destination location.
- The document will be moved to the selected library, folder, or document set.
