Saving emails to Sharepoint or Microsoft teams from Windows

No elevated permissions are required.
This guide explains how to use the OnePlaceMail app within Microsoft Outlook on Windows to save emails and attachments to your preferred location.
1. Outlook on Windows
The OnePlaceMail app for Outlook will appear in the home ribbon in Outlook.
Open an email within Microsoft Outlook and select the OnePlaceMail icon.
2. What to save
Choose if you would like to save the email and attachments by using the checkboxes.
3. Where to save
The Where to save screen allows you to browse or search for a location.
Note: If you have pinned locations or recent locations from previously saving content, these can also be used to select a location quickly.
3.1. Options
- Pinned locations set as a favorite
- Recent – location recently saved to
- Show locations for – select a new location to save to:
- SharePoint
- Microsoft Teams
- OneDrive
If required, select a different content type from the drop-down box.
If required, enter values for custom columns.
4. Follow-on actions
After saving the email to the required location, you can choose to keep working with the email just saved:
- Open save location: Selecting this item will open the location in the browser.
- Reply with links to all files: Selecting this will create an email and insert a link to the item previously saved.
- Thanks, I am done: Select this to close the panel.
