This article explains how to manage document versioning using check in, check out, and discard options directly in Outlook with OnePlaceMail.
1. Check out a file
A document can be checked out by selecting Check out in the OnePlaceMail ribbon.
The file will be marked with a blue icon to indicate it is checked out.
Hovering over the file will display the username of the person who has checked out the document.
2. Check in a file
Users can check in documents directly from Outlook and apply any necessary comments to the file.
3. Discard check out
The option to discard a check out is also available.
If selected, any changes made will be lost and the file will be checked back in.
