This article explains how to capture and promote additional email properties to SharePoint columns using OnePlaceMail.
1. Promoting sensitivity labels and email headers to columns
OnePlaceMail will automatically promote email attributes to columns in SharePoint to enhance search capability and improve user experience.
When additional properties are available within an email, these can also be captured and promoted to SharePoint columns.
This is useful for applying automatic security or legal classifications, such as sensitivity labels, to ensure true and accurate records.
This feature is customizable to support any requirement where additional email properties need to be captured.
2. Capturing additional properties
- Review the email properties and locate the additional header properties to be captured.
- Once identified, add these properties to the OnePlaceLive configuration profile to ensure they are configured once and available to all users.
3. Configuring the email header property rules
Using the OnePlaceLive configuration profile service, select Email header property to SharePoint column value rules.
- Enter the email header property.
- Enter the matching rule (regular expression) — these can be extracted from the email properties.
- Enter the SharePoint (internal) column name — this is the name of the column the property will be promoted to.
- Enter the SharePoint column value — this is the value that will be displayed in the column.
