This article explains how OnePlaceMail can automatically capture and promote email attributes when saving to SharePoint.
1. Capture email attributes automatically
When saving an email to SharePoint, OnePlaceMail will save the email and promote the email properties to columns, provided the email content type has been applied.
This enables more efficient management of emails within SharePoint, allowing for faster search results and the ability to use filter options when viewing SharePoint content directly in Outlook.
- Ensure the document library has the email content type added.
- If the content type is named "OnePlaceMail Email", OnePlaceMail will automatically select it when saving to the library, even if it is not the default content type.
- If your content type has a different name, add it to the OnePlaceMail Settings then the Content Capture tab so it is automatically detected when saving.
- Drag and drop, or right-click to save the email to the library. The email columns will be captured in the background.
