This article maintains a list of known issues for the Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise desktop release and the Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise web app.
1. Known Issues
Important: Current desktop Release is R9.3 - Updated May 2026
- In desktop version 9.2 and 9.3 when searching a SharePoint folder with an & or . in the name the search will fail with a 404 error.
- When using the modern web app on a Send & Save - if the web app was not installed via the 365 admin center (a user installed via the outlook web store). Then the send and save feature will not work (due to this being a Microsoft restricted app feature).
- Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise desktop version 9.1
if you upgrade to this version it does not update your PST path so you need to recreate your PST file.
this has been fixed in version 9.2 - When saving emails to O365 from a Shared Mailbox in OWA, and New Outlook, the save is not completed.
- Microsoft "Conditional Access Policies" are currently not supported with Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise (formerly OnePlace)
- Adobe does not support Modern Authentication. This means O365 environments enforcing Modern Authentication will not be able to open a pdf directly via OnePlaceDocs. If you are experiencing this, please vote here on Adobe site.
- Installing 64-bit Adobe is not compatible with OnePlaceDocs. Please find a link for a workaround here.
2. Recently Resolved Known Issues
- Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise desktop version 9.01 and 9.1 and 9.2
if you install with MSI files and install the administration client last you will get a DLL error.
Error: could not load (path) make sure the DLL exists
Work around is uninstall all products, then re install with the admin client first. or use the All in one installer. (resolved in 9.3) - Upgrading to desktop version 9.1 lost the path to your outlook PST file.
- Some users could not open outlook emails with a double click in classic outlook when using Ideagen Mail Manager Enterprise (formerly OnePlace).
- Managed Metadata column type does not always return terms via the type ahead picker (R8.8).
- Error returned when saving to a choice column that contains an ampersand (R8.8).
- Issue when saving emails from some senders (ie. Microsoft Marketing) failing - (R8.7).
- Outlook may restart unexpectedly due to a connection issue - (R8.7).
- When expanding a library or folders there is a delay in showing the folders (R8.7).
- When selecting pdf documents and selecting 'Open With' known PDF Applications are not presented in the applications available (Resolved R8.6).
- When upgrading to R8.5, existing favorites with spaces in name will return incorrect message that the location does not exist (Resolved R8.6).
- Cannot create an Enterprise Keyword term, when creating an item in OnePlace Solutions Desktop (Resolved R8.6).
